Does anyone know which type of pepper that comes inside the box when you order a pizza from Papa John's. I love those peppers and would love to add them to my garden this year.

  1. pepperoncinis.....

At my Papa Johns they'll give you an extra handfull when you order a pizza......Good Luck!

  2. Jade is right, and I agree they are so good!

  3. In order for me to answer your question, I ask that you elaborate on the issue you are experiencing.

  4. Peppercinis!  AMEN! I love those too and I'm always the only one that likes them...so I get one for every pizza.

  5. Pepperoncini= banana pepper= sweet italian pepper. I've only seen them pickled in a jar, never fresh at the market so don't know if they would grow in your garden, but good luck!

  6. When I order Papa John's pizza here, I get jalapeño peppers inside the box. They are similar to serrano peppers, but are larger and more spicy.

Note to Jade: You get Peppercinis? No fair! I love peppercinis. They are sweeter and milder than jalapeños. My local Papa Johns gives me Jalapeños. I'm ordering from your Papa Johns from now on.

  7. well everyone answered your question already.  but just thought i would throw it out there that i am a delivery driver for papa johns

  8. They are called Banana peppers or also now as peperocini.

  9. The proper spelling is "pepperoncini".

You can find them in both the Lowes and Home Depot garden sections. Pre-pickled, they are just plain ol' banana peppers.

  10. pepperoncinis!

  11. pepperccinis pronounced peppercheenies

note to down below (i forgot your name): they are like banana peppers, and i can eat them foreve, they are so good! that sucks that your PJ's gives you jalapenos...maybe they have them but you have to ask for them...try it next time and let me know!!!
