Per Ledin?

OK, so what's up with the Avs signing him? this is really wierd, I mean, I've heard him called the "Swedish Sean Avery". Why would hte Avs want a guy like that? Have any of you guys seen him play?

From what I've heard he is an agitator, a lot like Sean Avery, he is a pest with some half-decent offensive skill. Except he's not as good as Avery. And a lot of teams would love to have a guy like Sean Avery on their team. There's nothing wrong with that. And that's all I know about him.

What puzzles me is that the Avs already have a lot of agitators (not to mention they signed Tucker, another Avery-type player who is universally hated throughout the NHL). They have McLeod, McCormick, Laperriere, Tucker, and Ledin now. These are all guys who play a similar game, gritty, agitating, fight-prone, and not that good at offense. That's a lot of similar players on a team. I'm not particularly happy about that, but oh well. We'll see how this pans out.
