I was offered a Systems Tech Support job. Its a contract job that lasts a few years and I have to give them a dollar amount per hour that I'd like. I'm curious about a figure that is common and fair.

Job Description: Install, maintain and troubleshoot network devices. Contractor will work with multiple vendors on firewalls, routers, switches and load balancer equipment. Contractor will be required to work on the on-call after hours support rotation. Contractor will need to be able to work physically on the devices for upgrades and repairs.

CCNA Required.

  1. depends on how much experience you have. based on what you said, I would put down between $10-$20/hr. (probably closer to $15)
