  1. would be nice to know.... i curse people everyday for that because they dont look where they are going..... i cant count how many times i have been about hit because of a careless driver on their dang cell phone

  2. No because there is no way to accurately evaluate the data.

Too many people are driving distracted. This endangers not only themselves but others.

Stop trying to drive and Text, Read, Do your nails, Eat, Talk on a cell phone and START PAYING ATTENTION TO YOUR DRIVING.

You are in a death machine why tempt fate?

How many times do I have to see jerks blow thru red lights while having conversations on cell phones?

How many times do I have to witness reckless lane changes by morons who are more concerned about texting their BFF instead of using the turn signal and looking over their shoulder?

  3. I am a proffesional driver who talks on the phone a lot but have not been in an accident because of it but talking on the phone makes poor drivers worse drivers and there are a lot of poor drivers meaning skills wise.  For the record i have 475K on my 2003 cargo van and I drive in a lot of states in winter and summer.

I personaly see woman (small) driving the bigger suvs as more of a safety issue than talking on the phone but just my opinion..

  4. An estimated 1,000 people die each year from phone-related car accidents.

  5. I dont know, but I do know that everytime I see someone on a phone while driving I want to kill them....

  6. I don't know, but it's sure to be a lot.  I'm a truck driver myself, and I despise to see people on the phone while they're driving.  I carry a cell phone with me on the road, but if someone calls, I ignore it unless I think it's a very important call.  If I decide to answer, I tell the caller that I will call them back as soon as I can stop.  You can't concentrate on two things at one time.  It's obviously unsafe, and I'm sorry, but hands-free phones are not the answer.  There's no difference!  You're still trying to concentrate on driving and talking at the same time, it makes no difference whether you're using two hands or not!  That's not the point!

It was just two weeks ago that I was driving on the interstate, and saw this woman in a minivan who flew by me doing at least 80 mph (65 speed limit), talking on the phone.  I said to myself, "she's gonna get hers".  I kid you not, just about three miles up the road, I rounded a curve, and there she was, sitting stopped in the highway, airbag popped out, had already hit about three other cars, and you know what?? She was STILL on that damned phone!!  I don't have a problem at all with a cell phone ban.  It's absurd.  Some people say they can drive just as well while they're on the phone, but they're full of it.
