whats up all. hope ure having fun here. i have a simple question n i hope u guys can help me with it. thanks. how much percentage of our bodyweight do we actually push when we're doing pushups? i weight 170lbs/77kg and stand at 5'11/. let say if i do pushup with perfect form, full range of motion, my chest touches the floor and then hands straight, how much weight do i push out of my 170lbs/77kg weight. hope u can estimate and give me the weight that u think is close or maybe exact. thanks a lot and have a nice day.

Here's an easy way to check for yourself - just put your hands in push-up position on a bathroom scale.   Check the scale in the up position as well as the down position.  It will change slightly because of the shift in your center of gravity.  This will give you the exact weight you are lifting when you do a push up.

    It's impossible to say what percentage you are doing because it's different with every person.  If you have a big head and small legs more weight is over your arms...if you have large legs and a small upper body, more weight is lower, so you aren't pushing it...
