  1. well if a normal turkey is 100% it has been timesd ( multiplicated) by 4

    ( 4 X 100 = 400)

so we need to divide the 12 by 4, as its been timesd by 4, to get a larger turkey

so last year, you must have eat 3 slices

    because 3 X 4 is 12

  2. 3 slices.

  3. also 12

  4. You should answer "3", but the question is not any precise.

The actual answer is that you ate 2,4 (2 and a 4/10) slices last year

If you increase that by 100%, you would eat 4.8

If you increase by 200%, you would eat 7.2

    an increase by 300% 9.6

an increase by 400% would make you eat 12

Another situation is if you eat 400% compared to the last year *not an increase by 400%. If you say an increase of 100%, you have 200% from the actual number, an increase of 50% would be 150% of the number from which you do the increase.

Anyway, I guess they were asking you the an increase of 300% or an overall of 400% and the answer would then be that you ate 3 slices the last year!
