We are planning our 25th anniversary party..going to be very casual; southern rock band (lots of musician guests); catered buffet, keg, etc. We had some very unique invitations made up. I have a list of +/- 125 people (adults & kids). I've been to catered parties before where there are tons of leftovers. I want to do this smart. Of the 125 people we're inviting, what's a realistic percentage of people who will attend (counting no can go rsvps; and no shows). This is going to be a great party regardless of how many people show up.

  1. The rule of thumb is to plan for about 70 - 80 % of people yo invite, to actually show up. So, in your case, I would plan for about 100 people.

Good luck, have fun, and CONGRATULATIONS!

  2. i would say around 90 people might show up..but i have no idea.

  3. I usually figure around 20% will be no shows.  HOpefully people will be respectful and rsvp.  Sounds like so much fun.  Good luck.
