Percentage of women who wax the bikini line?

Perhaps the people here can settle a disagreement. My wife doesn't groom "down there" at all. With some peeking pubes noticeably protruding out in even a fairly conservative bathing suit, I gently suggested a bikini wax might be in order. She was put off by this and responded that not a lot of women do that. I countered and said that, although I have no real data, that almost all women perform some sort of maintenance there - from shaving to full brazilian. I wagered that about 90% probably do. I'm looking to back it up with some responses here or even better - a link to real polls. Thought ladies? Am I off base here?

I do....but as a woman I also think it is important for a man to take care of his personal grooming needs as well. Woman don't want to have to go hiking through the forest to finally find the tree if you catch my drift ;)

I think if you went with her and asked her nicely to try it, and then if she didn't like it she wouldn't have to do it again.  It does hurt so don't expect her to love it at first - but I bet she'll love it the next day!

I shave the stray hairs that show in a bikini, there aren't many of them to be honest, but that is all I do, just so I can go swimming. If I'm not going swimming, I often just let them grow - they are fair so they don't show much. My boyfriend prefers the 70's look having grown up then so he doesn't mind.

The rest I leave natural. I'm actually pretty proud of my bush....

I have no intention of shaving for any man, and like your wife I would be offended if a man asked.

I'm 28 BTW. I know quite a few girls my age do shave, but that is their personal preference.

The implication of what you said is that you don't like her the way she is, so it is no wonder she took offence!

i shove down there because waxing is a lot of money and would hurt a TON. but its her body and its mean of you to ask her to do that.
