so he paid 80%

he paid 80% of total price

if 80% was $48

10% is 48divided by 8 =6

20% is 12

so proper price was 48 plus 12  = 60===answer

you dont need to know he bought 3 more files at 60   =$180

therefore  he bought originally

180 divided by 12 =15 folders

15 multiplied by 12 =180 ( 3 more  files at original cost of 60)
