Ok I know this is a REALLLLLLY dumb question, but i honestly cant remember how to do this right. Ok say something is on sale for $1.50. I have a $1 off coupon. So my total price is $.50. How do i figure out what percentage of savings that is. Like was it 50% off 65% off and so on. Thanks so much!

  1. Divide the coupon amount by the original price.

    $1.00 divided by $1.50 = .666666... or 67%

  2. It is 66.7% off.  You are saving $1.00 out of $1.50 (1.00/1.50 = 66.7%).

  3. .50 / 1.10 + .33
