Percentages??? How to work them out???

For example.

If x = $30.00 and y = $25.00, how do you work out the percentage?

Maybe something is lacking..

Divide smaller number by larger one, ie 25/30=83%

If you want to find 4% of 30 than multiply 30 by .04 = 1.2

It does not get more difficult than that.

If you want to find out how much percentage 25 is of 30 then just divide. (25 / 30) *100=  83.33%

or vise versa

(30 / 25)*100= 120%

to work out a percentage you

total number you have divided by the total ,times 100

25/30*100=83.3%

If you want to find out how much percentage 25 is of 30 then just divide.          25 / 30 = .83 = 83%

                   twenty five is eighty three percent of thirty

                

                   or vise versa

                   30 / 25 = 1.2 = 120%

                   thirty is one hundred twenty percent of twenty five
