The former supremo of the Spanish giants has taken another jibe at the current Los Blancos’ president, claiming that he lets the club’s manager run affairs.
Real Madrid’s former president, Ramon Calderon, does not seem too impressed by the way things are being run at the Spanish capital. The official has expressed that the club’s manager, Jose Mourinho, is fully in charge of affairs at the Bernabeu instead of
the president.
It appears as though the Spaniard has gotten used to lashing out at Madrid’s current president, Florentino Perez. This time he has taken the opportunity to voice that the club’s president is playing second fiddle to the Portuguese mentor.
Calderon, the man who had resign the post after being accused of a corruption scandal, is running a campaign in order to regain his seat at Los Blancos. It has been observed that he has become habitual of making attempts to defame the current board of directors
in order to aid his cause.
The former supremo suggested that it is Perez’s fault that Mourinho enjoys so much authority at the club. He stated that the manager was brought to Los Merengues due to the board’s decision and now he has become the most powerful figure at the Spanish capital.
Jose Mourinho’s relationship with the club’s board also came under scrutiny as he was found making a few complains. In addition, the Special One was also seen making a show when he appeared in front of the crowd 40 minutes prior to his side’s clash against
Atletico Madrid. The crowd jeered for the veteran trainer as Los Vikingos emerged 2-0 victorious over their local rivals.
"The only winner of that action was Mourinho. But the president knew what to expect when he brought him to Madrid. He has already shown at his previous clubs that he thinks about himself first," he told La Xarxa.
"Mourinho has not fooled anyone. It's not his fault that he was brought in and given all the power at the club.
"Perez is Mourinho's puppet. He is not in control of anything and has no interest in showing that he is actually the boss at Madrid. He has given the coach all the power."
