Perez wants Higuain to stay – Football news
Marca suggests that Higuain is on his way to the North London club, Arsenal, but Florentino Perez recently denied all such speculations as he claimed that no offer has been made by Arsene Wenger’s side.

The Portuguese mentor always had the French striker, Karim Benzema, in his starting
line-up as he believed that he was a better finisher than Higuain, even though the Argentinean star had far better minutes to goals ratio.
Last season, with Benzema out injured, Higuain did get a few opportunities to play for the Spanish capital-based club, but even then Mourinho always highlighted how Benzema was his first-choice striker. This made the Argentinean striker decide that he wants
to leave the club and his father, who is also his agent, were to decide between Juventus and Arsenal as Higuain’s future destinations.
While media is currently talking about Higuain’s departure from Real Madrid, Florentino Perez made it clear that he does not want the player to leave.
While talking about Gonzalo Higuain, Florentino Perez said, “We do not want him to leave. Besides, I can assure you that Arsenal have yet to come here nor make any offer, of €10m, €27m or anything.. There is no offer; no-one has come forward to offer anything.”
Arsenal are favourites to land the player, but there are doubts regarding the transfer fee which the North London club is willing to pay. Moreover, Carlo Ancelotti is expected to hold talks with the player and his agent in order to assure to him that he
still has a place in the first team with him being the new coach.
However, there is no doubt that once Higuain leaves for Arsenal or even Juventus he will be a first-choice striker for any of these two clubs. His goal-scoring ability is immense and with teams which have a strong midfield like Arsenal and Juventus, Higuain
will be a golden signing.
