how do you get that ^^. i only wash my face once a day because if i wash it too much, it dries out and causes breakouts...i wash it in the morning. after i wash it, it looks nice clear and clean! but throughout the day it turns a little red, a little greasy, and looks dirty. how do i prevent this. i dont use makeup because it makes me breakout. i use regular safeguard soap, if i use any other face wash, my face may breakout.

  1. the reason your face breaks out if you wash too often is because you're stripping your face of its natural oils and bacteria which helps to keep your skin clean. if you use a ph ballanced moisturizer it should help. i use all Arbonne products, i LOVE their Intelligence Not So Basic face wash line. it includes a face wash, mask, balancing toner, eye cream, and face moisturizer. you could just use the wash and moisturizer, but obviously it's formulated to work all together.

Arbonne also sells a Personalizer, it's a green compact that helps reduce redness, absorb oils, and keep your makeup in place. it's a GREAT product that i would highly reccomend.

most makeups are made with mineral oil (which seals off the skin and doesn't allow it to breathe) and animal by-products... animal parts are boiled in a large vat and the stuff that floats to the surface is skimmed off and added to your cosmetics! gross! arbonne doesn't use either mineral oil OR animal products, so it is MUCH better for your skin. it doesn't use chemicals either! it's all natural and BENEFICIAL! which means that it won't cause your face to break out, and it adds minerals to your skin actually improving it over time.

if you don't use makeup, but want to get glowing skin... durring the summer i just use a bronzing powder. it works great! it makes all my skin look tanned and lightly dusted, so it doesn't look naked, but doesn't FEEL like makeup. then i throw on some eye liner and eye shadow and i'm done.

check out my website for more arbonne products! i really hope you find something you're looking for: http://home.comcast.net/~chrisandlisa/si...

  2. You have to use faerie organic products. I am telling you it will make all the difference in the world. I am a skin care specialist and makeup artist. I deal with all skin tones and complexions on a daily basis. Your face gets dry etc.. because you are obviously using commercial cleansers which are loaded with harmful chemicals that strip the skin of its natural oils and cause skin disorders. It explains why you can't keep your face in balance and therefore getting breakouts. I highly recommend the faerie organic "Get Glowing" Acne Kit. It comes with cleansing grains (not soap) it is a mixture of skin clearing grains, herbs and clays that cleans the face and leave it soft and glowing, it is amazing. It also comes with a acne serum (a herbal serum that is fortified with acne fighting ingredients that do not strip the skin or leave it dry.) And a moisturizer, it is light and greasless it has horsetail extract in it which has a high Silica content and makes for gorgeous glowy skin. Now pair up the skin care regimen with their anti-acne makeup (I call it that because it actually makes acne get better, they specialize in skin disorders and acne prone skin) They use a expensive mineral called Boron Nitride that is antibacterial (great at fighting acne), a skin perfector and soother. I use it on myself and all my clientel and your face gets better everyday. If you use crappy chemical laden products your face will stay irritated, broken out and dry. You really need to try these products I recommend them to everybody because they actually work. They have a free sample kit of their makeup at their website http://www.faerieorganic.com

  3. neutrogena oil-free acne wash is the most amazing product i have ever used! i have pretty oil skin, so i need to wash my face once-twice a day to prevent breakouts.

i've tried everything, from clearasil, and st. ive's apricot face wash, but it never really seemed to work as well as neutrogena does. :)

it comes in a pink tube, and smells heavenly - like grapefruit.

i got mine for about $7 at target - you should try it. :)

  4. Trust me--exfoliation and moisture are key to flawless skin.

There are plenty of exfoliating scrubs out there that work perfectly fine, but there's no need to spend a ton of cash. I use normal, everyday sugar to exfoliate my face. It works great! Just pour some in you palm, add a few drops of water, and gently work onto your slightly damp face in circular motions. When you're done, just rinse off your face. Do this about 2-4 times a week on a regular basis.

Secondly, moisturize! Find a good moisturizer that works for you. It's different for everyone, but I love Biore Pore Minimizing Lightweight Moisturizer with SPF 15. It makes my skin sooo soft.  I like to alternate that with Biore Nourish Moisture Lotion with SPF 15.

Another tip: Find a great face mask and do it once a week. Find one that targets your most significant problem--if you have dry skin, get a moisturizing mask. If you have clogged pores, get an exfoliating or peel-off mask. If you have oily skin, get a mask specifically for that.  You get the picture.

    Good luck!

  5. Soap drys the skin out, Wash your face with hot water first [opens the pores and clenses them] then cold water [closes the pores and keep the skin tight]

I don't use soap on my face [except when i have a bath then its just the water with the soap in it]

skin picks up dirt over the day, so clense at night,

i know because thats what the dermetologist? skin specilist told me

  6. 1. Put a really hot flannel/wash cloth over your face for about 5 minutes.

    2. Take it off.. then wash with a small amount of sensitive soap and rinse.

    3. When done.. soak the cloth in almost ice cold water, and place back over your face for about 5 minutes.

    4. Moisturize (hint of tanning - optional). Whether you have dry, oily or combination skin, always moisturize.

    5. Let your face settle, to reveal a moist, dry skin free, glowing face!

    Hope this helps,
