Maggies Gem, daughter of Diamond Green, out of Magdalene, trained by Paul Midgley, will race in her career maiden in this race. The two-year-old filly is owned by Pee Dee Tee Syndicate and T.W. Midgley and will be riding under jockey Russ Kennemore.
Red Koko, trained by George Moore for owner A Crute and Partnerswill also start her career with this race. The daughter of Sleeping Indian, out of mare, Aunt Sadie will be coupled with jockey P.J. McDonald.
It is speculated that Perfect Words will triumph this race as he has the most experience compared to the other runners whereas Vanessa might finish as a runner-up.
