Performer at wedding?

i wanna ask a singer or band to play at either mine or my best friend's wedding in 3 years...how am i able to do that? i'm thinking of someone like the eagles or marques houston.

also how much would we pay them?

and a side question, how much does an average spend on his/her wedding?
