Performing arts help!?

Question

i have an interview for a college in a few weeks and need a monologue for it, i used to know one from shakers which i did for GCSE 2 years ago, but i remember very little of it now, does anyone know where i could download or any other way of getting a monologue, perhaps shirly valentine or shakers? thanks x

I just came across it and thought I would try.

What I suggest is that you go to your city library and spend a couple of hours looking for good monologue books.... and there are many.

After you decide on a few books,  check them out and take them home.   This is important and you don't need any of us trying to give you advice for what you might like or sound best on.

Read through some of the more interesting monologues and choose 3 or 4 to get your families or friends opinions.... which one you look best doing, which fits your personality best which you sound convincing on.    This is the way to choose a monologue for yourself... with people who know what will work best for you.

You are trying to get accepted into the college program...  so serious thought and time must be put into selecting the most impressive monologue you can find.   I feel confident that with your families' help,  you will choose wisely.
