With the flux of violations I was just wondering if I'm eligible for any typ eof crown here...I just received, get this, FOUR, yes FOUR violation notices for the same question...which never even posted with all of the glitches on here lately. Not a single one fo you has seen this question...its probably floating around in the Dietary sectiona nd I got 4 notices just this past half hour. That has to be a new record.

Hocjey question from that question...since you became a serious hockey fan, which coach of any team, yours or otherwise, have you liked the most and why? Who was the worst?

  1. You must have asked a very dirty question to get all those violations...did you use any naughty words?

  2. Scotty Bowman....I loved the most because he is the best. Blake was good...too.

  3. Fred Shero....No explanation necessary

Mike Keenan....Players hate him but his win percentage proves otherwise. and John Stevens....maybe not the best out there but at least he does not cry like ummmm...say Therein or Tortorella

  4. best - Joel Quinnville

    worst - Jacques Martin

  5. Yeah, Yahoo really sucks a lot I'm not gonna lie.  Oh and be sure to enjoy the wonderful customer service you'll now get to enjoy when you try and sort those wrongful violations out.

  6. First up, I DIDN'T DO IT !! I can see that you're upset though, not used to seeing your posts with spelling errors. Go get 'em, Tiger, you don't need to put up with that.

The coach who gets all my respect is the late Roger Neilson.

  7. Favorite coach will always be Al Arbour. He built the Islanders from the ground up. He didn't inherit an already good team (or even an up and coming team) like some other winning coaches have.

Worst- Mike "The Franchise Destroyer" Milbury.  Sucked as a coach, and one of the worst GM's ever.

  8. Our little slice of heaven should be called Yahoo! Answers: The Penalty Box! Since we all get mundane violations for stupid c**p, as sometimes NHL players get stupid penalties for minor c**p...

The coach I have always liked the most in the NHL was (and will always be) Scotty Bowman. There's just something about the guy that suggests "I better not mess with him". That, and the fact that if someone does mess with him, they will be pounded in the face with a set of Stanley Cup rings.

Least favorite? That clown who coached the Detroit Red Wings before Scotty Bowman, and the Ottawa Senators...of course, I'm referring to Bryan Murray. Anyone who wonders aloud why they were let go by a championship organization when they were clearly the problem has issues to sort out. That and his "wonderful" lisp make Murray all the more irritating. Michel Therrien is moving up fast in this ranking, though.

  9. Yea i got a couple notices myself, but hey im just trying to defend this section

I know its only been a 3rd of a season but my favorite has to be bruce boudreau.  Many people see him as jolly and silly but i've gone to caps practices.  He knows when to be serious.  He Yells at the players and pushes them hard at practices.  Like manny coaches im sure do, he takes time to talk to as many players *** he can during the warmups.  He has a really great personality with the media and the fans.  I ran into him as i left the rink and asked him o sign my jersey and he siad "only if i can have your hair" haha the worst, i really didnt like torteralla or whatever it is, he's very intense and serious almost all the time.

  10. I'm down 90 points for 6 violations and 3 lost appeals which I never appealed.  About 2 weeks ago, I was down about 100 points in a day.

The only problem I had with the violations from 2 weeks ago is that the my yahoo mail was being forwarded to my BlackBerry.   It was buzzing and chirping that entire day.  (shut off since).

  11. Freck's was that the question where we where playing hid the pickle. Maybe that's why it went to dietary.

Mike Keenan(sp?) I always liked him.

Claude Julian has no intensity or desire to my when he is on the bench, he seems to be just a big mush!!!

  12. Going against the grain on this question.

Best Coach: -  Pat Quinn. He was honest open and a players' coach. Pat never got his due because of politics but got the most out of his players and teams.

Worst Coach: -  William Scott (Scotty) Bowman. In the words of my hockey coaching mentor, a childhood friend of Scotty. "He is an arrogant supercilious b@5tard who has all the people skills of a pineapple, but he sure knows how to coach a hockey game."

  13. aw man, violations suck. that's not right - getting four violations for one flipping question!

I am definitely going with Haley on this one...Scotty Bowman was an amazing coach!
