Again. Sorry.

Basically, I went to sleep last night, and everything was fine. Expect, in the morning I always know that When I stand/get up, all the blood will basically come rushing out at once. (Nice isn't it?) And today, let's just say I had more than just a little accident...

Will a quite absorbent overnight pad work? This is only my second EVER period, and I'm young, I can't go out any my super absorbent jumbo.

Will an overnight pad really work?

  1. Happens to me too

  2. Umm yeahs maybe. That wud happen to me to. And sumtimes i wud set and alarm for a certain time like at 3 or 2 or 4 in the morning or whatvers your choice and change it and then that shud help. But yea a overnite pad wud help otu and try tampons to.

  3. Yeah, the blood comes rushing out all at once because when you're asleep in a horizontal position, gravity isn't making it flow out, but as soon as you stand up... whoosh!

When my flow is heavy, I usually sleep with a regular pad, and a pair of nylon exercise shorts that are sort of water proof.  Then I just make sure to rush to the toilet as soon as I get up.

  4. Oh  yes, I know how you feel.  After I've been asleep all the blood come gushing out. Awful huh...

If I were you I'd wear one of those pads that are for super heavy flows.  I can get away with ultra thin now I'm a bit older but when I was in my teens I had to wear super thick ones.

Personally I don't like tampons at all.  But it's up to the individual.

  5. Do you use tampons? Sometimes my menstrual cycle gets heavy as well, and I have to use both, a super absorbency tampon, and a super absorbency pad.  And that helps a lot! During the day, if you stay some what active, you may need to use a tampon, and a light pad, something that's comfortable to you, if you are worried about leaking while out and about.  Don't forget to change the tampon whenever you feel necessary, but do not exceed four hours if you can help it ((you should be fine at night...no worries there)) and the pad whenever you feel necessary to change it.  I hope this helped you!

  6. I use the Always Brand they are the green ones they are called Always Long Super Ultra Thin with Flexi Wings. They extra long but super thin. They are amazing i totally recommend them because accidents will never happen. Yes they are long but super thin you cant even notice them =]

  7. Don't worry this is normal. I would suggest trying tampons as well as pads to prevent any embarrassment during the day

  8. you could always try a tampon, they are a bit scary at first but once you get the hang of it its fine (you could just do it at night if you wanted) im 13 and thats all i have ever used because i hated pads so much.
