Period Question. Please Help...?

What could cause bleeding after your period? I just finished my period a few days ago but I started bleeding today, and I don't know what it's from. I'm fifteen and sexually active with my boyfriend. I am not pregnant so don't say that.

That has happened to me a few times. It's probably just because you had s*x. If I have s*x shortly after my period ends I often bleed a little bit more. It's normal, nothing to worry about.

well, it could be a number of things.  It could be pregnancy.  Some women have spotting when the fertilized egg implants.  It could be just irritation from s*x - some women will produce a little blood when their cervix is over-stimulated (by a p***s or by other objects.)  It could be a sexually transmitted disease, although STDs that make you bleed from your v****a are pretty rare.

I'd get a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy even though you're fairly sure you're not pregnant.  From there, go see a doctor if it happens again.  If it doesn't, you can probably be safe assuming it's just spotting due to cervical stimulation or hormones.
