okay, i posted this a while ago, but it didn't show up. Sorry if you are seeing this for the second time.

Anyways, I have had my period for over a month now. I have been waiting to go to the Dr. because I am a student and wanted to wait until I could go to the Student Health Center for free (dumb, I know.) Anyways, anyone know what could be going on? Could I be pregnant. I know that is doesn't seem like I would be since I have a period, but I have heard of that happening. I am just worried and confused, and I guess I will get some answers Friday when I go the the dr. but I was just wondering if anyone on here had any ideas. Thanks!

  1. if you are sexually active you might of been pregnant that is nothing to be messing around with you could have a serious infection if so! if you have been bleeding for a month straight that is alot of blood you better go get checked find out what the problem is!!!!

  2. I would go to the doctor because it could be serious.  Don't wait and the money is worth it to spend.  Go to planned parenthood.  They have gynecologists for all things not just pregnancy and birth control.  Sounds like endometriosis.  Go to webmd.com

  3. Depends on how much bleeding you are having.  If you are soaking a number of pads/tampons every day then you need to go to the health center tomorrow and stand in the lobby until the doctor sees you.  Your iron or blood levels could be dangerously low.  If you can't get in, then go to the emergency room.  But I'm sure if you explain it at the SHC, they will work you in.

Sometimes women do spot continuously when pregnant.  Have you started or changed birth control pills?  That can cause it too.  The other thing that can cause bleeding like that is a fibroid, or growth, in your uterus.  Hopefully it's none of that, just one of those crazy things.

  4. I don't think you are pregnant.  But I highly encourage you to go the the doctor immediatley.

  5. Well, I guess the best thing to confirm if you are pregnant is to have a pregancy test, get one at a  gas station somewhere and see. Sometimes they can be wrong, so get 2 or three of different kinds. If you are pregnant, you should go see a doctor and make some choices, whatever you want to do.

  6. I don't know if this will really help, but I figured I'd tell you what I know. It don't know much about pregnancy, but my friend's aunt had a similar problem. She had her "period" for two months, but it turns out she was two months pregnant. The bleeding had something to do with being pregnant, I guess. Like I said, I'm not really sure. But just in case, you should take a pregnancy test before you go to the doctor's, just to be safe. Good luck!
