Period acting weird, what could it be???

I am a couple days late for my period and last night I had cramps but no blood. I have never had s*x so I couldn't be pregnant. I've only had my period for 1 year so it could be irregular but it never has come this late. I start school in a couple days so maybe I'm stressed and that's what is causing it to come late? What do you think? Thanks in advance!

  1. Like you said, it could be stress. There's so many things that can effect your cycle, my guess is that it's just not regular yet. Sometimes it is normal for a woman to skip a period, it is not usually considered a problem until 3 cycles are missed. I suggest you tell you parents that you are worried about it and if it would put your mind at rest, then go to the doctors.

  2. well don't worry I had irregular periods as a teenager too...I was told that not all girls get their periods like clock work and told it's normal for teenage girls to have irregular periods within the first 3 years in which she started, however there's also Illness, rapid weight change, stress or your body is producing too much of a certain hormone...It's a male hormone I believe... could cause irregular periods. Before I seen the doctor I used to say "I'm on my invisible period" lol cause it felt like I had my period minus the mess ya know? keep a pad or tampon with you just in case or wear one when you feel like it's coming because you never know where you may be...I had an embarrassing accident before so..don't let that happen to you, but if you're still really worried talk to your mom or the school nurse. Good luck with school!
