  1. Yes you can see your doctor and they can put you on Clomid to help you ovulate.  I would say that you are very young though, and just wait a little longer.  You are only young once and you have many years ahead to go through the craziness of ttc.

  2. I don't know what to tell you. I have had irregular periods since I started having them. I started taking OrthoTriCyclin Low to regulate it and a month or two later I was pregnant. I've never had to deal with an abortion. Are you sure you're not trying to replace that baby with another out of guilt?

I was 20 and just broke up with my boyfriend so it was a bit of a surprise. I kept my baby but having a child is so much work and I wouldn't recommend it unless you are sure you can afford it, have the energy for it, and have the support to spend the next 21 years of your life devoted to another human being. If you can handle it, go for it. Being a young mom is a lot easier than being older. While you don't have everything you need all the time, I've noticed that I have a lot more energy than older moms I know. So don't stress, enjoy the process, and don't worry about your periods. There is no exact timing to get pregnant and no magic pills. Just practice until it happens! LOL

  3. Irregular periods are usually associated with anovulation, not ovulating.

Before taking any medicine you sould first try finding out why you do not ovulate because for different circumstances you get different treatments.

  4. Well, since you are so young, you would need to be actively TTC for at least a year before most fertility doctors would meet with you.  Since your periods are irregular, I recommend getting the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor.  It's not cheap, and the test sticks aren't cheap either, but it stores your cycle information for up to 6 months, and is great for irregular periods.

Also, you need to make sure that you are ovulating.  The only way to know for sure is to start charting your Basal Body Temperature.  You can buy a thermometer at your local drugstore in the pregnancy planning section.  You take your temp every morning (as close to the same time as possible) as soon as you wake up, before getting out of bed or doing anything else.  Fertility Friend is an awesome website to track your BBT/ovulation, plus they have tons of information.  Anyway, once you know if you're ovulating, that'll help w/TTC.  If you aren't ovulating, you could see a doctor to see if you have PCOS.  If you are ovulating, well, the monitor will help you know the best times to baby dance.  So will Fertility Friend.

Best of luck and lots of baby dust!
