I know the deal, all women are different. I just want to know if anyone has ever had their period while pregnant, or knows anyone that that has happened to. I'm not talking about implantation bleeding either, I know what that is. I'm talking about a period, I hear yes that can happen, and no that cant happen....Whats the deal????

  1. Its very rare but yes you can still have a period and be prego.

  2. I am in the Medical Field and NO

  3. ok, when I was pregnant with my son, I had periods (lighter, but still came) for the first 3-4 months.

I also know of a friend of mine that didnt know she was pregnant until she had pains and thought it was her appendix!

She was in labour and had a healthy baby girl.  Didnt get big, didnt stop having periods and didnt realise at all, just thought she had gas, when now she knows, it was the baby moving.

    Food for thought!

  4. I had what I thought was a peroid the 1st month of pregnancy with my daughter. I'm not 100% sure if it was breakthrough bleeding or implantation. You can have breakthrough bleeding around the time your normal period would have been during pregnancy. That is a cold hard fact.. it's possible, people that say otherwise are ill informed=) good luck ... ps to all that say no- google breakthrough bleeding in pregnancy!!!

  5. It does happen to few people. This is why some people delivery and never knew they were pregnant. But it is not mestrual bleeding it is vaginal bleeding.

  6. You can have bleeding that looks exactly the same as a period but it isn't actually a period. It is not a common occurence, although you do hear the stories alot, most pregnancies are experienced with little to no bleeding

  7. No a woman can not have a period while pregnant.

  8. my aunt had her period 9 months while carring her child an the baby was born normal just low on blood had to recieve blood when he was born, but i have known of women bleeding while preg.

  9. I think its really confusing too but with my first pregnancy i didn't know i was pregnant because i had what i thought was a period it was very irregular but i didn't think anything of it being a woman when you see blood from that area that's what you automatically think but really i was pregnancy and had a previa which was causing very bad vaginal bleeding its when the placenta covers the cervical OS causing what looked to me like a period but wasn't a period at all though it did come quite often like every couple of weeks to a month
