Period and pregnancy test help please !?

My periods are sometimes irregular i never know when to expect them although its probably just me who is useless at counting. They seem to arrive at the begining of each month. My last period ended on 17th of july so do i count 28 days from then?? if so that would of made me due yesterday right?? or do i count it from the 1st day of last period making me due last sunday?? i am very confused as i dont know if im late enough to take a pregnancy test or not.. as i had s*x on the 19th of last month and the condom split. im not sure if this question makes sence i hope it does.

well its believed that yooh concieve 2 weeks after having s*x so yooh could take the test now. cause its been 3 weeks since the 19th of last month. so if your pregnant its now.

Counting 28 days is not going to help you if you don't have a 28-day cycle. If, as you say, your periods normally come at the beginning of each month (though July's certainly didn't), that sounds more like a 30-day cycle. Because calendar months are 30-31 days.

You count your cycle from Day One to Day One. However many days that covers is the length of your cycle.

I would count 30 days from the start of your last period, to determine if you're currently "late" or not. You could probably take a pregnancy test now.

Usually I think you count from the first day of your last period, so yeah, that would make you a few days late. If your periods are irregular (which a lot of people's are) then it may not be anything to worry about, but what you said about the split condom is quite worrying, because you're at (or just about to start) the most fertile time of the month for you, and apparently sperm can stay in your body for up to a week, so it's very possible.

I would take a pregnancy test as soon as possible. I know it's hard, and you're going to want to delay it as much as you can, but that really won't help. You can get free tests done at various family planning clinics etc; you don't need to spend £8 on a pregnancy test (unless you want to be the only person to know).

It's far better to be safe than sorry - please take the test.

Hi.

You go off the FIRST day of your LAST period, so you are in fact over the 28 days and if I were you I would wait until you know you late.

By this I mean, if you sometimes have cycle of 40 days, then test on day 40 and see as if you test now you could well be tasting too early if periods are irregular!

I didnt have my period for 3 months then stupidly had unprotected s*x, then just left it and i came on =S

I would get past this hurdle first, i have been in this exact situation!!!

I would wait a while, take a test..if you're pregnant you need to make a decision form there. if you're not i would go to the doctors and request to be put on the pill, it  will reggulate your cycle and you will knwo when to expect your period- its also extra protection should you're accident happen again.

give it a few more days maybe until next weekend then if your period hasn't come do the test.. sometimes our bodies just change and our cycles change a little. ..
