  1. Go to the doctor, it might be serious!

  2. You sound just like me!!! I was having the worst cramps before i went to my doctor and they put me on Yaz...it helps soo much with the cramps...i also have PMDD so it helped with that too...it might be something you want to talk to your doctor about. Or even some stronger meds to take while your cramping...im sorry but Midol doesnt always work...i would be popping like 5 pills to get the cramps to go away. Just call your doctor and talk to him about it. Hope everything gets better for you...Also, another thing that kind of helped me out when i was cramping really bad was Yoga...it really calmed me down...

  3. midol is made for cramps and things during your period so that might work best.

  4. See if you can get to a doctor for some prescription anti-inflammatories to help with the cramping. Exercise will help too, believe it or not, if you can bring yourself to do it. The only thing that makes my cramps go away is a fast, brisk half hour to an hour walk.

If you can't get into a doctor, take something with Ibuprofen in it like Advil or Motrin. That helps with the inflammation of the uterus and the muscle contractions that are causing the pain. Make sure you take it regularly, throughout the day. (Don't exceed the maximum dose though!) But if you take it regularly for the duration of your period, you're less likely to suffer from horrible constant cramps!

    Good luck!

  5. You should try Evening Primrose oil, its fantastic. For around 5 years 3 weeks before every period I suffered from sore b*****s, period pains, really heavy periods. My periods were always around 3 weeks late, and I suffered from PMS and felt like c**p for the whole three week period. My sister suggested Evening Primrose oil tablets. I didn't think they would work but it said it was good for your skin also, so I took them. This month, and for the first month in 5 years, my period came on time, no pains, no breast pain, no PMS. I didn't even know it was time for my period until I went to the toilet one morning and there was blood. My period is now completely normal its not heavy any more and I don't suffer in anyway. Quite frankly its a god send. I think you should really give them a go. And on your next period you will really notice the difference. (also its worth noting that I have lost allot of weight also, as I didn't have the 3 weeks of stuffing my face with the food cravings I get before my period, oh and my skin is allot smoother :)

  6. Hiya, I'm new to this user group but hope this helps

I suffered for years with painful cramp during menstruation and found that drinking lots of water leading up to start and during period helped me a greatly.  The month where I experience worse pain were  when I hadnt drank lots of water.  I offered the same advice to my daughters having tried it myself and it worked for them, hoping it works for you.
