For the second month in a row, I seem to be getting mild period cramps from around mid month which I guess is ovulation time. Is this commen? They're not really bad, but I can feel them there. I had them last month and my period came exactly on time (and it was a proper period), but I'm wondering what could be causng them. My husband and I are currently off birth control.

  1. Well could be ovalation yes, but could also be Pms. It can happen up to 2 weeks early.

  2. only a doctor can tell you for sure what is causing the pain.

  3. It could be anything!!  PMS, gas, I know I start cramping just over a week before my expected period.  There are plenty of things that it could be.

  4. yes it is common, the body goes through several changes during each month.  If you have recently come off birth control it could be your body readjusting to normal which would explain why your period was normal.  It can take upto around 2yrs or more for things to return to normal when stopping birth control. When taking birth control methods alot of syptoms associated with periods become milder or dont happen at all.  If you feel concerned then visit a well woman clinic.
