i was wondering what exactally does a mucus plug look like? does it have to be blood tinged or can it be greenish or what? also, what should you do/think if you have period like cramps after it? i am 35 weeks and think i lost my plug, well the rest of it for that matter, and now have cramps. usuually they end up being gas but these arent subsiding. i am going to call my dr because i realize this is a bit early for labor but they told me at 34 weeks they wouldnt stop me if it happened. thanks for the answers

  1. i lost my mucus plug at 34 weeks, and ended up having my daughter a few weeks later, as far as the cramps, are they contraction types. You should really call your doctor, if your in labor, even false labor you definately need to be checked out. Trust me, I was almost too late to get to the hospital with my daughter.

  2. I agree with the first answer.  Sounds like you may be in labor.  good luck!

  3. If you think you lost the plug...you probably did, and the cramps you are having may actually be labor pains.
