  1. when i first got mine, i was at school but it was okay, cuz if you notice like more wetness (sorry for the detail) then you might wanna check, and as long as you have pads in your locker or something, you're fine, if you don't have one, grab a huge bunch of toilet paper and use that, that works for me, and keep a lot of pads... if you want to bring some to class, put them in your shoe or your sock :P:P that's what i do. good luck =D isn't it great being a girl???? :P

  2. well if you think you're going to get it, i would wear a pantie liner. you don't feel them and if you do get your period, it will protect you for quite a while. at my school we aren't allowed to have backpacks with us either, but we can have purses or tote bags. so bring one of those around with you and put some tampons/pads in it, and if its a good size tote bag you can even put your books in it. but most of all don't stress out about it! it is nerve racking at first, but every girl goes through it. have fun at your new school!

    good luck :]

  3. If you haven't had your period yet at all, then I would start out with pads the first time around. Only if you are scared to use the tampons.

If your school doesn't allow backpacks, then they should at least allow purses. If not, just take a thin maxi-pad and stick it in your back pocket. If you are afraid you will start and not know, then go ahead and put a thin maxi in your underwear. Better safe than sorry! They aren't very uncomfortable at all... after a while you will probably not even notice it.

When you are ready, then you can try tampons. Don't worry... it isn't as hard as you are thinking it is. You are probably making more of it in your head than anything and that is totally normal.

As for pains, you will probably start getting crampy feelings in your lower abdomen on both sides. It is your body working to get rid of all the stuff your body makes to get ready for a baby... when you don't make a baby, then your body sheds all the stuff it just made and that is what your period is. If you have more questions, email me and I can tell you exactly what your body is doing and what to expect. :) Congrats on becoming a woman!

  4. Only if your really dumb you will get a tampon stuck in your vag, and youll feel it, it will kill. Also it could be your period! it may not though. And your school will most likely allow purses. And if not but a small pad and some tampons in your pencil case. Or what my friend did which worked for her, was she got to school early and picked the bathroom she would go to and hid some pads and tampons there so she wouldnt have to carry anything to the bathroom. Or i has a jacket with and inside pocket and i would put a tampon in there. There are lots of things you can do! And remember that most girls your age will start getting it, or have gotten it! You're not alone with this. If you have any more questions e-mail me!

  5. this is the exact same question pretty much.

    YES. its probably your period.

if you wear a jacket/hoodie you can put a tampon up your sleeve.

  6. Yep girl stuff is definitely complicated but don't worry it gets easier as you get older!

Ok well first of all a sharp pain doesn't necessarily mean your period is coming although it might be - some girls get a dull ache before their periods, although a sharp pain could possibly be that.  Are you getting discharge in your pants? Once you start getting discharge your period could come anytime, although you can get discharge for months and months before it starts.

The most important thing is just to be prepared.  You don't have to use tampons if you are nervous about it, but no they won't get stuck on your hymen!!  They are very safe and painless to use.  However, most girls start out with sanitary pads that you stick in your pants (with wings to keep them securely in place), as going straight onto tampons can be a bit daunting!! After using pads for a few months you might want to think about tampons.  Personally, I've only ever used tampons twice and I'm 22, just cos I find pads quicker to use!

If you can't take a backpack then maybe you have a locker you could keep a few spare pads tucked away in? If not then you must have to take something like a pencil case at least?  You can get one with an inside pocket to hide a pad in or take a small bag with an inside zip pocket for your pad.

Your first period will more than likely come on quite light so don't worry about it being heavy as soon as it starts - thats quite unlikely.  You will probably go to the toilet and have a red stain in your pants - thats what happened to me - no one will ever know!!!  Just wear dark pants and dark jeans/skirt to be doubley safe.

It might be worth making sure you have painkiller tablets ready incase your one of the unlucky girls who gets tummy cramps.  Hot water bottles also help with this.

Don't worry, they take a bit of getting use to but are nothing to stress out about - all girls have to go through it and we all cope.  Good luck :-)

  7. first, you should talk to your mom about it

also, when you get to school, you should tell a female teacher about it and she should be able to help you with where to keep your supplies

  8. You are asking really good questions, but calm down!

Yes, a sharp pain COULD be ovulation (egg).

If it is ovualtion, then you would be starting in about two weeks.

Most girls have a Very light first period, and do not have to worry about leaking.

A school should allow a small purse, look at the other girls to see if they have one

For my first period, I was told to just use a pad and practice using a tampon during the second or third.  As long as you are patient, tampons are not hard to use the first time.

    Good Luck- hope it helped!

  9. i recomend wearing pads for the first months during your period, i heard it hurts inserting a tampon for the first time, and also wear like two shorts/sweatpants when going to sleep so it doesnt get on your bed. oh and also just in case have a jacket wrapped around your waist just in case your period goes through your pants..!!

  10. Use sanitary towels for the first time, take four or five to school in case your heavy. If you use tampons you should only use the right size for your flow, never more than one, and never never leave in! and no if you use them it doesn't mean you're not a virgin.

Yes the pain in your abdomen could mean that your nearly ready to start, maybe have a chat with your doc, just to settle your mind. Good luck it's not scary.

  11. you are so weird

  12. yes, it is probably your period. I would suggest not using tampons for the first time. Your flow is not going to be very heavy. Wear a pad, and you will definitely not leak. I was able to get away with just a panty liner, so dont worry about leaking. change it every two hours or so, and keep the pads in your locker or pocket. If the pads just don't do it for you, try tampons on your second or third period, but otherwise, keep it simple. Don't stress, its just your first, and you should barely notice it with the right pad. ;)

  13. yes it could be just be prepared

for your first period you dont want to use a tampon though you want to use a pad or pani liner

i had mine when i was 13,you could keep it in your pocket, or as werid as she is my friend, when she has her period, keeps hers in her bra!

kinda gross but it works as she said its not umcomfortable

you could also keep them in your locker
