My baby girl is now 3 months old. I still dont have my period?? Is this normal? could it be because I am breast feeding? This may sound like a stupid question but no one ever told me if I would get it or not and I dont know who else to ask! (my Mum never breast feed and Im the first of my friends to have a baby)

  1. Yes this is because of your breastfeeding. My period didn't return till my bubs was six months and it hasn't stopped since she is almost 8 months. Apparently breastfeeding does silly things with our hormones

  2. no worries it's not unusual not to have a period for this length of time, my physician told me that, my son is 4 months and i havent had a period yet too, it's probably coz of the breast feeding, though i'm not exclusively nursing him but still didnt get any period!!! still u may get pregnant though so, use a method of protection..

  3. yes it could be because you are breastfeeding. But if you are not looking to get pregnant again don't use breastfeeding as a form of birth control - because you never know when you will get your period.

  4. It's normal. Some get it back right away, some after they stop breastfeeding, and for some it's somewhere in between. My son is 5 months and I still haven't had a period. The catch is that you can still get pregnant, you will ovulate at least once before your period returns so make sure to use protection.

  5. Everything's normal

With my first I bf for 9 months; no period

    With my 2nd I bf for 6 months & I did have a period.

No DR told me to worry.

  6. yes you don't get your period when you breast feed.  i am breast feeding and my baby is 2 months and i haven't got one either so i ask my doctor and he said it's normal.
