Period worries plz read?

i have my periods atm but when i went to change my pad there was a chunk of a blood

what dus that mean is it bad

please help

  1. Your body sheds the lining in your uterus when the egg does not implant in the uterus wall.  Sometimes the bleeding will include bits of the lining or in the case of heavy bleeding, may have the consistency of jelly.  This is normal up to a point.  If you have very heavy bleeding (way more than normal for you), or you get larger and larger bits, then you should see a doctor.  If it only happens occasionally, then not to worry.  If you're new (less than 2 years) to having periods, keep a journal or calendar making note of how many days you bleed, how heavy or light it is, and anything else you noticed (cramps, headache, etc.).  This will be helpful if you need to see a doctor in the future.

  3. It's a good thing. It's called a blood clot. It means your body is working properly. When you cut yourself your blood has special properties in it to make it thicker and to stick together. If it didn't, then you would just bleed forever from the cut. Obviously your period is not a cut, but your blood is still working to thicken itself just in case.
