Periodic password requests?

my account asks me to verify my password approx every 5 mins........yahho help says you can change the timing of this but doesnt tell you how...can anybody help?

Before you sign in click the box that says Remember my ID on this computer then sign in and then it will only ask you every 24hrs

I would try to help but my account seems to have packed up and gone on holiday. (It doesnt work) Lol.

Click on the link below and the click on the "Password Prompting" link in the beginning of the second paragraph.

Now click on the "Edit" button for "Member Information"

The third section, under "General Preferences" is where you'll see the "Prompt for Password" drop-down menu. Change it to the 2 weeks option (I think that's the longest they can keep you signed in for) and then click "Finished" at the bottom of the page.

Hopefully, then you'll be signed in for 2 weeks w/o any problems. Just remember though, when you press "Sign Out" from any Yahoo site (Mail, Games, Music, etc.) you're signing out from the ENTIRE Yahoo network... So even if you change your settings here, if you sign out of Yahoo Games, you're going to have to sign in again at Yahoo Mail.
