Question:

Perks from nwa's frequent flyer program. HELP PLEASE?

My dad flys a ton for work and he is Platinum (the highest level) for world perks (their frequent flyer program.) I am looking to fly somewhere as an unaccompanied minor, if we bought my ticket through his Frequent Flyer #, but for me, because he gets all the fancy first class upgrades and priority seating, and I want this to be as stress free as possible. Does that make sense.

Also I am going with a friend, if we bought his ticket through my dad's account, would he get the perks too. Also if we bought together (my friend and I) my dad gets 'companion upgrades' where if I where to get upgraded into first class who ever is flying with me (as long as seating permits) would that work too?

  1. Perks conferred to your dad through the Northwest WorldPerks program are his only -- they do not transfer to you or anyone else simply because he bought the ticket using his miles (or using his number in general).  The only way you might get any benefit from him is if he is flying with you.

  2. No, the miles have to be used by the World Perks member.  However, he can purchase gift miles for you.

Also, if you join World Perks  yourself, he can transfer some of his miles to your account.  More info:
