Question:

Permanent straightening at home?

I have averagely curly to very curly hair. It varies because I have trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder) and I used to pull out a great deal of my head hair. When it grew back in, it was kinkier and much more difficult to handle.

I was wondering if I can give myself a straight-perm at home. I know you can give yourself regular perms at home... is it simply just using the perm kit but keeping it straight instead of putting it into rollers? I've gotten it professionally perm-straightened twice but my stylist was new to the product and probably didn't altogether get it right, so my hair didn't change too much. I want to take it into my own hands, but I need advice... is it doable with a regular perm kit?

  1. Permanently straightening your hair can damage your hair even more. My best advice is to use Pantene Pro-V for damaged hair. It will make your hair thicker and easier to maintain. Believe me....Pantene is the best shampoo there is that you can use to help your hair.

  2. I wouldnt do it at home but may be get it done professionally as you ruin your hair by doing it by yourself (no offense)

  3. I DONT KNOW.
