Mmkay, so like, I just dyed my hair yesterday and I want to use an at home perming kit to straighten it. But my friends like freaking out and says my hairs gonna fall out, and the box says to wait a week, but I'm rather impatient. What are the odds of that acutally happnening?

  1. I've actually done that...lol. Well, I've also bleached and then permed my hair (Half of it broke off. ~_~) So... what you should have done is permed it first... waited a week and then dyed it. Also, here's the other thing... when you do decide to perm your hair it's going to strip the layers of coloring off... so... you'll have have all kinds of colors shades and it will be much lighter then it is now.

My ex also did something like this and his hair turned green. lol. Mine never turned green though. So, it's possible *not all* your hair will fall out, but it's very possible it will become super damage/dry/etc. And worst case just break off quite a bit. Maybe a few slight bald spot.

If your totally going to do it anyway , put a lot of conditioner in it prior to try and save it slightly. :)

  2. ehhh itll just damage your hair. NEVER use those things. just use a straightner. Trust me i talked to a brilliant cosmatologist. oxi moron right? haha

  3. Be patient. All you have to do is read all the horror stories on here. Listen to your friend

  4. Well gee let's see...Maybe they put that on the box for a reason??? Get over being impatient and do what the directions tell you to do or you will totally ruin your hair.

  5. You're hair might not fall out, but it could fry your hair, making it horrible looking, which defeats the whole puprose. I'd say hold back your impatience, and wait in order to get better results.
