For instance, the name of "the society" is probably known to the questioner, but s/he hasn't bothered to tell us--perhaps something like 4H in the U.S. And from the other data (e.g., "number of teachers an[d] Form Five students"), I'd bet that it should be memberS.

So this person is in effect asking:

Which question is perfectly useless *until* s/he asks (and gets answered):
