Permission Slips come in two styles.

First type is your standard everyday variety that the teacher hands out to the students. Dear teacher, I give permission for blank to go blank on date to be determined.

Second type is a literary master piece. Designed to be passed from teacher to teacher to judge the sanity of child's parent. these notes include any of the following and more: intergalactic empires (Startrek?), time travel (late arrival/early departure), elves, witch/wizard, impossible deadlines, video, giant tea cups (NHL?), effects of friction on objects moving at 200mph (Auto race), large quantities of water (ice, snow, ocean), large amounts of rock (mountains), flying houses...
