Permit Test Help??

I need to make an appointment for my Permit Test and I don't know where to go! I know you go to www.dmv.ca.gov, but where do I click next??? Can someone explain me showing all the steps how to make an appointment online? Thank you very much!!

I don't think you need to make an appointment for the permit test.

In South Carolina I'm pretty sure you can just go to the dmv and ask to take it.
