Peroid Late could UTI be the Answer?

Question

Ok so im on yasmin birthcontrol and i usually get my peroid on the second sugar pill but its the 4th and i still havnt got it, i have a UTI and its not a major one but it just burns when i unrinate. Could my peroid being late be caused by that?

I'm really nervous so I'd really appriciate some feedback

I doubt that it's the UTI, at least not directly. Are you taking anti-biotics for the UTI? If so, it can lower the effectiveness of your birth control and make it more likely for you to become pregnant. Take a test using your first morning urine.
