  1. whole house

  2. A parole officer is essentially a jailer.

The parolee is still in jail; they have simply been allowed more freedom, and are being allowed to live at home instead of at the jail.

The parole officer has the same rights as a jailer does at the prison. He can shake you down whenever, wherever for any reason or no reason. He can search your house, your car, all of your property, and any property you come into contact with.

His interest is in making sure that you are abiding by the rules of parole.

I'd recommend letting him do his thing until you're released from parole.
