Perry uncertain about future
Last week Kenny Perry competed in his first Champions tour event. The event marks an important point of divergence for Perry as he begins the transition from the PGA tour to the Champions tour.

Perry tied for 35th at the Administaff Small Business Classic last week. This tournament was the first Champions tour event played by Perry who became eligible for the tour after turning 50 in August.
Perry – shooting an opening round 78 – was not pleased with his performance but kept things in perspective.
"It's the end of the year, we're expecting our first grandchild, I've just been enjoying the last couple of months. I had a really poor year on the PGA Tour, and so I just got away from it. And now I've got a smile on my face.”
Perry attributes his less than stellar tour debut to a mixture of lack of focus and being a slow learner.
"I've enjoyed getting back with these guys, but my expectations aren't very high to start out with. I've always been a slower learner,” said Perry.  “I played great in my 40s, and this is probably going to be another slow curve. It takes me some time to
get comfortable."
Perry’s year on the PGA tour was a disappointment especially when it is compared to his 2009 season that saw him nearly win the Masters and finish 9th in the FedExCup standings. This year has been a different story with Perry registering only one top-10
and finishing 93rd in the standings.
Perry has admitted himself that his poor performance of late is caused by a lack of focus and motivation.
"I didn't have any goals; I'm a goal setter," said Perry. "When I didn't win the Masters, it deflated me a little bit. I went all in for the Masters and the year before for the Ryder Cup.”
Perry is uncertain about what his season will look like next year. When asked about his plan Perry replied, "I don't have an answer right now. The more I hang out here [on the Champions Tour]. I'm having a lot of fun.”
