I live in Bakersfield, CA; and was wondering if anyone knows a good spot to take my girlfriend to view the meteor shower later tonight??

  1. You need to get away from the city, east of it to avoid interference from the city lights.  It should be a good show from moonset until dawn.  The meteors will be coming from the direction of Perseus in the northeast.
