Perseid Meteor Shower tips?

so i live in las vegas and i wanted to know when would be the perfect time to watch the shower.will even be able to see it??i know their's a lot of light polution here.thanks for your help!

  1. There's too much light pollution in Las Vegas, but if you can get onto one of the back-roads off HWY 93 North of Dry Lake  the viewing should be much better. The best times are going to be from about 11PM to 2AM, although there should be something to see until about 5 AM.  Make sure you're away from lights and passing cars, and arrive early enough to let your eyes to be night adapted.  It's 20 miles or so to Dry Lake.  You can also go farther up I-15, but make sure you get off the interstate to the North, as Perseids rise in the NE.
