  1. Hey I have two persians...they eat like theres no tomorrow so the vet has told me to put them on a bit of a diet to avoid diabetes. You should be careful as 4 cans is overfeeding him, and he may be on a special diet....the teeth are probably fine btw.

a vet will be able to scan him for a microchip and see if they can get him back to his rightful owner. Remember that his family are probably scared that he's been killed or kidnapped as he could be worth $$$ so ring up your local newspaper and they can do an ad for free or even do a little feature on a slow news day.

Try not to write your address anywhere, just say contact through the paper in question.

As for food, 2-3 pouches a day should be fine, not too much dry food as this may lead to cystitis and give him a bowl of water changed twice a day. xox

  2. Hi Jean... it's great you are helping this cat and looking to find it's owners.  Be sure to put up multiple notices with a photo within a mile/km radius from your home as well.  Consider posting an ad online under the lost & found pets section as well.  Some cats will be micro-chipped so if you bring the cat to a veterinarian or a shelter they can scan the cat for a chip which will contain the owner's contact information if it is up to date.

If there's no chip to find the owner and  no one claims the cat after several weeks, please have a veterinarian evaluate the cat to clear him/her of any hidden health issues common to stray and lost pets.

Cat's have four large incisors -- two on top and two on bottom (see photos for example: http://maxshouse.com/Illustrations/vomer... )
