My sister, 21 years of age, has had back pain since the age of 16, I am told the pain is persistant and interferes with her life, Further, the back pain is about mid way up the spine, and not long ago also the lower back {I am told this is not a problem anymore}.
I reccommended strengthening the back muscles at the gym, on the machines, which I am told has helped a bit, with the lower back pain.
My sister asks family members to step on her back, which she finds relieves the pain, as this is done 'clicking' sounds can be felt on the feet and sometimes heard. The pain is said to be relieved after this.
I do not think it is entirely safe or wise to be stepping on the back, so I recommended she sleeps without a pillow, as I believe this may be the cause, the raised neck {since she sleeps with two pillows!}, which is causing mid back pain. However this has reaped little benefit.
Her doctor, just prescribes pain-killers, which is not addressing the cause, but the symptoms.
