Personal Income Tax In Las Vegas?

We are thinking of moving to Vegas, I have found on numerous web sites that there is NO PERSONAL INCOME TAX and NO STATE Tax. Is that the same as no federal income tax? Is this true, can someone that really knows give me some insite. thanks.

  1. Nevada has no state income tax, however, you have to pay federal income tax in all 50 states.


  2. i live in vegas and i work for tips. i get barely taxed on them we have no state tax and barely pay federal taxes. thank u hotels and casinos. our power is a bit cheaper too.  cigarettes are about 4.50 a pack. gas is 3.15 a gal.. its pretty cheap here but its boring.... sales tax is 7.75%..

  3. It is not the same as Federal Tax. State tax is paid according to the State you work in. Everybody pays Federal Tax. That is where the IRS comes in.

  4. I don't know if there is no personal tax, but there is a sales tax. It might be higher than 6% too.

  5. There is no state income tax.  They will get it from you another way.
