The former Real Zaragoza striker has gone on to state that it was great if he was able to score a goal during his team’s victory, but it wasn’t imperative.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Milito-c11166, Inter Milan centre forward, has gone on to state that it is always a personally gratifying feeling if he is able to assist his team in securing victory by scoring goals. He also remarked that his personal accolades were not more important than
the victory of the team.
Milito scored in the match against Torino on the third match day of the season and he went on to comment that as long as the goals came and the team won, then there was nothing like it. However, he remarked that getting the three points was the most vital
thing.
He went on to comment:
“I always say that the most important thing is getting the three points. Then if I also happen to get on the score-sheet, so much the better. First and foremost, though, I'm happy about the win.”
The former Genoa forward was talking to the official http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan Channel, and during his interview, he also went on to comment on his troubles in front of goal. The Nerazzurri man was on a goal drought during the tail end of last season and he commented
that he was grateful for the belief the coach at the club had in him.
Milito went on to state that there are always highs and lows in the world of football and you just have to continue to keep on with the struggle to be the best. He remarked:
“I am grateful to the Coach and the club as a whole, as they have always believed in me and they keep counting on me at the age of 33. I feel a lot of responsibility because I have to do well out on the pitch. Sometimes you succeed, sometimes you don't,
but the main thing is that you never stop....”
The goal against Torino was his 23rd goal of the year 2012, which is an extremely impressive return given his struggles in 2011.
