Need to make sure it's the size is right and that you get the right type based on whether you'll be on a lake or on the ocean.

Stearns is a good jacket.  Important to get the proper fit, they come from infant to XX large.  Also important that it is designed for the application intended i. e. water skiing, kayaking, general boating, off shore adventures.
