Persons dogs, should I call animal control?

Question

I know a family who has 4 pitbulls, and they have to keep all of them seperate so they don't fight and kill each other. They usually keep one locked up in the car when it's not running free. Is that animal abuse? And should i call animal control, or the aspca?

i think locking a dog in a car would be considered abusive but i would worry more about what would happen if they got loose, if they would kill each other what would they do to another dog or cat or child. these don't seem like responsible dog owners. someone from animal control should check out the situation.

Absolutely keeping a dog locked in a car is abuse.  Definitely call someone, whether it is animal services, aspca, somebody.  That poor dog.

Does it have access to food and water?  Is it locked in the car in sun?  I'd call and have them do a well being check.

umm well i would call animal police so they can atleast see whts goin on

if the people themselves are not aggressive talk to them first and say its not right to do that but if you don't know them very well and you know they aren't very nice call animacontrolll right away

Definitely call animal control that is why pit bulls have such a bad reputation because stupid people like that are mean to them and then they grow up mean!!! i personally have 2 pits and they are as nice as can be never fight and love on everyone they see i feel they are more affectionate then any other dog i have ever raised!! they are both males to so there is no reason them dogs should be locked up in a car at that! you need to help that poor dog ASAP!!!!

It is definitely a cruelty complaint.  But you also might want to check with the police and see if they are even allowed to have that many large dogs.  Many cities have ordinances about the number of animals a family can own.

omg! yeahs call any animal related control! thats abuse!

unless the dog is not being torturered in there like in the heat, no food/water, and etc.

if they have dogs they cant control they need help tamming them....

well if they keep it locked in the car with no food or water hrs. at a time then yes as long as they all have food and water avalible dont but if some do and some dont yes call!!!! ohh and clean fresh water and edible food!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bye hope this helps!!!!

call the aspca first if it is hot out that poor dog will have a heat stroke and that is consider animal cruelty, and obviously their dogs are having training issue, which if they are wanting to fight with each other they are not being properly trained, and if the aspca wont answer call animal control, if they are not out causing trouble calling the police won't do any good they will just refer you to animal control or the aspca.
