Pertamina Open: Haris Prathama knocks out Aulia Pratama W in Men’s Singles second round
Indonesia’s talented shuttler Haris Prathama showed a wonderful performance in Men’s Singles second round when he toppled his lower ranked opponent Aulia Pratama W at the Pertamina Open Badminton Championships 2012 on Monday, December 10, in Indonesia.
The in-form Haris, who is the 15th seeded player in Men’s Singles main draw in the championship, played with remarkable precision and managed to end show exit to his un-seeded challenger while taking just 27 minutes on court.
Haris was in remarkable from in the arena as he played attacking badminton with wonderful control and managed to end up the contest in straight games with a dominating margin on the score board.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Aulia tried his best to put up strong resistance against his higher ranked compatriot but he failed to elevate his game when it mattered most and eventually lost the match without showing a considerable performance.
The higher ranked Indonesian shuttler performed extremely well from the initial rallies of first game as he played with wonderful speed and took over the control of the game.
Haris showed that he has attained top class skills on court and ultimately successful in taking a strong position in the arena.
The 15th seeded Haris advanced with an impressive speed in the first half and remained in lead on score board until the interval.
The confused Aulia failed to create trouble for his rival after the one-minute break as he lost his focus in the arena.
Haris did not slow down the pace of the game at any stage and comfortably grabbed the first game with a terrific 21-11 margin on the board.
Things were not much different in the second game of this entertaining match as Haris played in the similar dominating manner.
The hard to return smashes and wonderful net play kept Haris ahead of his challenger all the way until the end of first part in second set.
Aulia failed to show strong performance in the second set of this fight as his opponent Haris played aggressive badminton and took the set with a stunning 21-15 score on the board.
The impressive Haris remained successful in winning this second round contest in straight games with a remarkable margin of 21-11 and 21-15.
